Most of our volunteer positions require that the volunteer complete a 72-hour training, which is provided by the agency, and pass background checks.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Safe Journeys is seeking a Partner Abuser Intervention Program Advocate. This person will work as part of a team to screen persons who choose to use violence in their intimate partnerships to determine if eligible for our program, co-facilitate psycho-education groups, and complete reports. This is a part-time (anticipated to be 20 hours per week, but hours depend upon number of groups that we have) with groups in Ottawa and Pontiac. Safe Journeys is seeking a Bilingual Advocate. This person will work as part of a team to provide outreach, supportive counseling, and advocacy services to Hispanic/Latinx and Spanish-speaking survivors of domestic violence. This is a full-time position and the team member will primarily work in our Mendota, Illinois, office.
